Bodie – Brindle and beautiful

This handsome Brindle boy is Bodie. He had a tough start to his life, he was found dumped on the side of the road when he was just a Pup, then spent his first seven months living with a foster family before he finally found the best forever family he could wish for with Lisa and Richard.

Bodie’s troubled past has left him feeling nervous around strangers, so Lisa wasn’t sure if he would be able to relax in front of the camera. All she wanted was a photo of Bodie looking happy and not nervous or scared so that he could final have his photo on the wall at home along side all the photo’s and paintings of Lisa and Richards previous dog who passed away in 2017.

The day that Bodie came to the studio was stiflingly hot and dry but he took it in his stride. After a wander around the paddock and a quick sniff around the studio he was posing like a super model (and occasionally running back to Mum and Dad for re-assurance) !

Well done Bodie! ….and yes, he now has his very own space on the wall for not one, but two stunning portraits.

Here’s what Lisa had to say about the experience:

Gayle did a pet photo shoot for us in December 2019 and we were absolutely thrilled with her work, as well as her calming presence around our slightly nervous fur baby, Bodie.  We first met Gayle at a Halloween themed pet photo shoot fundraiser for a local charity where she was the photographer and our Bodie was fortunate enough to win the best dressed competition!  Our prize included a photo session with Gayle and on the day, despite it being extremely hot and humid, and with a dog that refused to sit still, she was able to take some truly gorgeous shots of Bodie, in all his brindle glory!  Her photos showed his lovable personality, the sparkle in his gorgeous brown eyes and the different shades of auburn, russet and caramel in his coat.   We’ve since had two of her photos made into canvas prints and they are simply outstanding.

Gayle was extremely easy to work with; she’s warm, friendly, very professional and responded to our email enquiries quickly.  She did her very best to make our fur baby feel comfortable and relaxed in a situation he was unfamiliar with and not too sure about.  Not only is she talented with pets, she has the patience of a saint, that’s the truth.  Overall, our experience with Gayle from that first Halloween photo shoot, to when she personally delivered our canvas prints to our home, was first rate.  Thank you so very much, Gayle, we could not have asked for anything more.  Best wishes to you!
